- Scaffolders being registered with CISRS, the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme, which recognises both the competence of the scaffolder to carry out a range of scaffolding operations to the standards required by the industry and also that scaffolders have followed an approved route of training and experience before being assessed to National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) standards.
- Scaffolders completing the approved accredited scaffolding services and training courses run by the CITB Construction Industry Training Board, a robust training programme that ensures scaffolders have the opportunity to learn the scaffolding trade whilst in full-time employment - splitting their time between CITB courses and on-site supervised training.
